Insight Events & Spring weeks

Hey Guys, we’ve partnered with Barclays to bring their 2025 Spring discovery programs focused on *Black Heritage and Women*. Their discovery programs, held across April 10th & 11th, is a unique virtual opportunity to learn about the career paths on offer to underrepresented groups at Barclays, and secure their 2026 summer internship

They have programs across technology, Retail Banking and Group Functions (Risk, Finance, Audit, Marketing, Compliance)

In their multiple discovery programs, You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Join seminars and workshops, where you’ll learn about financial services, the recruitment process and Barclays as an employer

  • Attend dedicated networking sessions with senior leaders and graduates aligned to your chosen business area.

  • Participate in specific breakout sessions where you'll gain insights into what you can expect from the Summer Internship in 2026

  • Secure a 2026 summer internship at Barclays

Eligibility :

  • Interested in a career in Technology, Finance, Risk, Audit, Marketing, Operations

  • Excited to learn about the world of Investment Banking

  • Black Heritage or a woman

  • Graduating in 2027

  • Open to completing internship in 2026 at locations across the UK such as London, Northampton and Knutsford

FCA is running an exclusive insight program for Black heritage undergraduates to gain invaluable insights into the world of financial regulation.

During the immersive three-day program, you’ll connect with industry experts, discover internship opportunities and receive tailored guidance on navigating the FCA’s application process. The event also features workshops on financial literacy, data fluency, CV enhancement, and LinkedIn profile optimisation, all designed to equip you with the skills needed to excel professionally and personally. You will also have the opportunity to interview for the 2026 summer internship at the end.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Identify as Black Heritage

  • Currently a 1st or 2nd-year undergraduate in the UK, graduating in 2027

  • On track to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree classification

Career Networking + Employability Events

Octopus Energy Group is running their Black Talent Programme for the 4th year running, and we are kicking things off with an in-person launch event in their Manchester office.

The programme is a 3-month summer internship dedicated to increasing Black representation in the energy sector. The internship could convert to a full-time role straight after, depending on performance.
