Pivoting into a strategy consultant has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. When at university I always thought I would work within Asset Management and initially did after university. However, pivoting into strategy consulting has allowed me to work with interesting companies ranging from Major Banks to Tech Startups and E-sports companies.
But the best part about it? All my colleagues came from such diverse backgrounds. I’ve worked with colleagues who have studied marketing, anthropology, history, and geography who were able to bring their unique experiences and backgrounds

No, you don’t need:
‘3 years of experience’ as a student or graduate (shade towards those employers)
Prior experience in consulting
A ‘typical' consulting degree e.g. Finance, Economics

Analytical skill set and ability to build relationships
Proactive individuals who are adaptable and can work under pressure
Passionate about solving business and organisational problems
Thirst for continual learning
