The Job Market isn’t as bad as you think
Yes there have been dozens of articles about the job market being awful, the hundreds of thousands of unemployed grads and the decrease in hiring
But take this as someone whose coached nearly 300 people into jobs and now helps global institutions hire young talent
The competition isn’t as tough as you think.
When you’re seeing 100 applications for jobs, realise that straight away:
30% of them aren’t even suitable for the role
20% have just mass applied with the same CV
20% used AI to throw in the job description and create a bland ATS-optimised CV that employers can see through
So that 100 other applicants are actually 30 other applicants you’re up against. Just some food for thought!
