This has been such as a busy week with application season starting, and we’re excited to get out there again to help young people kickstart their careers! We also had our kickstart event for the year this Wednesday (more below!)

On Wednesday, we culminated our application academy program by bringing 150 students into Barclays Canary Wharf for an insight evening focused on how to best navigate the upcoming application cycle.

Students and graduates were benefitted Q&A panels from current professionals and early career teams to gain valuable first-hand insight into what employers are looking for and how to best stand out in the process.

This year’s Application Academy has been great, and we’re so proud of every young person who engaged and took part across the programme. See you all again next year!

Interested in a career as an actuary? We are partnering with Aon to host an Early Careers Actuarial Conference in London for undergraduate students studying highly numerate degrees. You’ll have the opportunity to explore careers across pensions, general insurance, reinsurance and life, take part in interactive Actuarial Skills Labs, and network with Aon colleagues.

Q5 Partners Futures Taskforce 2026/27 (Undergraduate opportunity)

Q5 - a boutique management consultancy - is recruiting undergraduate students to join its Futures Taskforce, giving you the opportunity to share your perspective on the future of work while gaining exposure to the management consulting industry. You’ll take part in research work around emerging workplace trends, while also benefiting from networking opportunities with other students and Q5 consultants (will also help with getting onto their internship programme)
